The End

Photo prompt provided by Trish Nankeville

It is the end of an era…Long live the king… It seems a long time ago that I met our new king, when he was a prince. Although I never met the queen, I felt that I knew her. Life can be strange like that…

I have met many people, in what is turning out to be a long life. If only I had known what I know today, I would have attempted to record those moments more accurately. However now it is time for me to reflect. So I might be silent for a while…

Dreaming of Scotland and Thanking you all, for all the supportive comments that I have received over the years… Mike Humphris .

  1. While not a Royalist myself, it’s clear she stood apart from the institution, through her longevity apart from anything else. It certainly feels like a change of an era, and a time to reflect.

  2. Dear Michael,

Although I’m not British, the Queen has been a presence in my life. Her coronation took place only a few months before my birth. I had great respect for her. She’ll be missed on this side of the pond. My heartfelt condolences to you and yours.

    Shalom,

    Rochelle

  3. It seems strange that now that she’s gone because she has been around for so long, the longest reigning monarch. She will surely be missed. Take all the time you need, Michael. Now is a good time to pause and reflect
