A good idea
Being a tramp was challenging, especially when toilet rolls were now padlocked in place, but Sam was up to the challenge. He took a short length of wood out of his ex army overcoat. Then proceeded to transfer the whole roll of tissue on to the wooden stick. Other tramps would give him some coins for clean toilet paper. Sam liked coins, but he would miss his piece of wood, it had been handy for moving the old item out of the way in rubbish bins. But coins where his nemesis.

Sam always found ways to gain money. He had several thousand pounds in paper money sown into his coat lining. We found it when we tried to send his coat to be fumigated
I’m guessing Tramps have to get inventive a lot just to stay alive. He sounds like he is struggling with more than just homelessness. Good story, Michael.
