Once again the farmers are playing games, I was expecting to attend a village fete today. Then the farmers decided to hold a rally to protest about the ban on using diesel in tractors. The government wants farmers to return to using oxen or heavy horses. So farmers being farmers, they have placed their farm machinery at pinch points across the district. Gridlock… So I decided to return to my bed. I decided to make hay whilst the sun shines. A nice little mare has joined me. Well them tractors can’t rule forever can they?

I do see you

  1. Dear Michael,

It sounds like the farmers have things all figured out. Nicely done.

  2. Well, what an interesting prompt direction, and I like the cheeky ending, returning to bed, to make hay while the sun shines, with a lovely filly/mare ….. great word-play. Just enough naughty teasing to appease the senses. Well done Michael!

  3. Nicely written saucy story, Michael. And a good insight into how government directed actions so often lead to unintended consequences.
