This weekend along with quite a few members of the local G scale brigade, I am at Ingrow Station on the Keighley and Worth Valley Railway [KWVR]… The KWVR has made us very welcome, providing food and drinks and free rides on their mainline. They are hosting a model railway event this weekend plus they are running their passenger Diesel Multiple Unit and at least two steam trains… Nostalgic and great fun.

The Yorkshire Dales G scale group, of which I am a member, are presenting and operating a portable G scale railway, which has been a great hit with the children visiting Ingrow today.

G could be said to stand for groB = big. It has a fixed track gauge of 45mm [1.772 inches] but a variable scale ratio.
