What a gas

Photo prompt curtsy of Roger Bultot

What a gas, I am staying in the Affinia Dumont hotel. Here on the seventh floor whether looking down or up the view is fascinating. Early doors there are helicopters ferrying people to high profile work. Just across the street, well I am English, in their roof garden are two priests walking back and forth reading their bibles. The gold trimmed pages glitter in the bright sun light. Below workers like busy bees stop to collect their ration of nectar at the corner delicatessen. The Chrysler building is splendiferous, but Central Park calls.

    1. The view from my hotel window was a writers paradise. There are many brilliant posts this week, I regret that my ability to give feedback is below parr much of the time. Stay safe. Mike

  1. Central Park is still calling, though nowadays it is has only spots of individuals walking or jogging in isolation and donning masks, and is dotted with blooming trees but also with the white expanse of the tents in the field hospitals … It is not a normal spring. It is not the NYC as we know it.

    1. Thank you Na’ama, There are many brilliant posts this week, I regret that my ability to give feedback is below parr much of the time. I am sad about the need for tented field hospitals. I truly hope that scientists find a vaccine soon.

      1. I don’t think there’s any need (or wish) to judge the ‘level’ of feedback! Reading each other’s work is far more important, in my view, than the exact words one uses. It is the community that matters to me! (and your comments are great, besides). As for NYC, yes … I hope the park will soon return to what it was – the backyard of so many of us in the city, the place to be, hang out, meet friends, play together, rest together. May the bug be evicted. Amen.
