The church tower stood out against the riot of colour that formed the evening sky. This day I had seen sights which were burned into my mind. Cavorting couples dancing around fountains, lovers sitting arm in arm on towering staircases. Rich pickings for my pen. Various crafts travel the waterways of this vibrant place, some carried lovers, whilst others carried the life blood needed to fuel this ambrosia. A place that was like nectar to the wider world. As I sailed away from the merchants of Venice, I saw him. Walking on the water. Yes walking on the water.

  1. Beautifully done, Michael. Wouldn’t mind trying to walk on water some time. Some days, it feels like I am, but it doesn’t take long before I fall down into the murky depths of the canal.
    Best wishes,

PS My dog keeps dropping her ball on the keyboard and adding all sorts of interjections, all in code of course.
