When Storm had entered the underground world of Diamond, she had passed the caged ones. Now she found herself wondering how long they would sit. Watching but not awake. Would they again be used in battle. The last time Force had released two of its white faced warriors, their control chips had failed. As the two white warriors ran amok, there had been over one hundred thousand terminations. More importantly Force had noted major disruption to its mining schedule. Causing Force to detonate the warriors self destruct devices. When all Force had required was the elimination of a rogue cell of workers.

  1. Force sounds like a dangerous organisation. I look forward to hearing how it tries to take over the world!
BTW I like the photo of you at Mevagissey. Do you live near there? I visit there once or twice a year. It’s beautiful.

    1. Hi Penny, I do like Mevagissey, but I don’t often get the chance to visit, as I live in North Yorkshire… I am sure that Force will figure occasionally in my future attempts at writing flash fiction.

  2. Management turning on workers? Say it ain’t so! This wasnt inspired partially by any recent US Supreme Court decisions was it?

I love this passage:”there had been over one hundred thousand terminations. More importantly Force had noted major disruption to its mining schedule.” So cynical!

  3. Major overkill (literally). I like the world you’ve constructed here.

Are you in Cornwall on holiday or live here? I’m only asking as I live virtually round the corner from Mevagissey!

    1. I was so pleased to read your comment. The fictional underground world of Diamond is slowly developing, at present I am working on its history and tenants. I love Cornwall and have visited many times. I live in North Yorkshire near Skipton.

    1. Thank you Granonine, the underground world of Diamond is slowly developing in form and characters. But it is like a uncompleted jigsaw. The edges are nearly completed, but the rest is a litter of pages.
